Networking – Have A Plan

Sometimes you go through the motions, or better yet, the repetitions of something and it seems like you have done it 100 times before. But this time it it different. Today that happened to me in my networking group. It’s funny, because I have been attending this group for the better part of ten years. It’s been very successful, to the point that I would guess that I have made over $250,000 in gross revenue over the years from it.

The funny thing when I think about it successful networking looks the same everywhere. LeTip International, the “parent company” if you will, has bylaws, guides, rules and accountability. But really it just a framework for the relationship and business building.

After thinking about it for a minute it seems just as simple in any networking/business relationship.

There are really only three questions to answer for solid networking/business building to occur.

1. Can I help you make some money? Frankly if the answer is no, stop now. Because if I can’t, you shouldn’t be interested.

2. Can you help me make money? Because if you can’t…I’m not interested. No matter how nice you seem, I already have a bunch of friends so let’s make money together…or skip the whole thing.

3. What’s our framework?  Should we have a weekly call?  A monthly coffee?  Cocktails every now and again?  Framework lets  business flow. I do a lot, but not my only business, though a networking group every Tuesday at 7AM.

It’s one, but not the only way for business to flow. Skip any of the three steps I have outlined above to generate the result below.
